Terms & Conditions

Last updated 27 August 2026

About these terms

These terms apply when you buy a ticket, enter a competition, or volunteer with The Trinity Throwdown. By doing any of those things, you agree to them.

Entries and tickets

  • An entry or ticket is confirmed when payment has cleared and we've sent you a confirmation. Until then, a place isn't held.
  • Places are limited and allocated in the order they're paid for. A division may fill or close early.
  • Prices are in Australian dollars and include GST where it applies. A booking fee may be added at checkout and is shown before you pay.
  • Tickets are for personal use. They can't be resold above face value or used for advertising or competitions without our written permission.

Changes, refunds and transfers

  • Change of mind. Entries and tickets are generally non-refundable. Where an event's own refund policy is more generous, that policy applies — it's shown on the event page.
  • Transfers. You may be able to transfer your entry to another person or a later event. Ask us as early as you can; a transfer isn't guaranteed and a fee may apply.
  • Team changes. Team members can usually be swapped up until the lock date shown for that event.
  • If we cancel. If we cancel an event outright, you'll be offered a credit to a future event or a refund of the entry or ticket price. Booking fees charged by our payment provider may not be recoverable.
  • If we postpone or change it. Your entry moves to the new date. If you can't make it, contact us and we'll work something out.
  • Beyond our control. Extreme weather, venue closure, government direction or another event outside our control may force a change. We'll do what's reasonable and tell you as soon as we can.

Competing

  • You're responsible for making sure you're fit enough to compete and for knowing the standards for your division.
  • Judges' decisions on the day are final. Where an event has an appeal process, it's published with that event's rules.
  • We can refuse entry, or remove someone from the venue, for unsafe behaviour, abuse of staff, volunteers or other athletes, or for competing under someone else's name.
  • Where an event has a minimum age, it's shown on the event page. Under-18 entrants need a parent or guardian's consent.

Health and risk

Functional fitness competition is strenuous and carries a real risk of injury. You take part voluntarily and accept that risk. Tell us about any medical condition that could affect your safety, follow the directions of staff and medical personnel, and stop if you're told to.

Photography and media

We photograph and film our events and use the footage to promote future ones. By attending or competing you agree we may use images that include you, without payment. If you'd rather not appear, tell us before the event.

Our responsibility to you

Nothing in these terms excludes your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded. To the extent the law allows, our liability for anything else is limited to re-supplying the service or refunding what you paid for it, and we're not liable for indirect losses such as travel or accommodation costs.

Your information

We handle your personal information in line with our privacy policy, which forms part of these terms.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The version on this page at the time you buy or enter is the one that applies to you.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia.
